Iraq Joins the Union of Arab Consitutional Courts & Councils

On March 19, 2013, the General Assembly for the Union of Arab Consitutional Courts & Councils conducted its 8^th session in Manama, Bahrain headed by the Chancellor Dr. Mohammed Ashrki, chearman of the Consitutional Council in Maraco and President of the Union in its current session and the presence of Chancellor Dr. Hanafi Ali Jibaly Secretary General of the Union, and in the presence of the participating delegations, members of the Union.

The session proceeded according to the work agenda approved by the Union Council. In the light of the deliberations and discussions, the General Assembly has taken the following resolution:

The admission of the Federal Supreme Court of Iraq as a member in the Union. The Chancellor Judge Medhat Al-Mahmoud Chief Justice of the Iraqi Federal Supreme Court expressed his thankfulness and pleasure to the General Assembly for accepting the Federal Supreme Court membership in the Union and affirmed on his awareness to this big responsibility. Chancellor Al-Mahmoud also expressed his wishes for success to the Union activities.
